Theodora has been keeping us on our toes in these late summer days. We’ve entered the period of “Purple Crying”.
- P – Peak of crying
- U – Unexpected
- R – Resists soothing
- P – Pain-like face
- L – Long lasting
- E – Evening

This is a term used by pediatricians, I didn’t make it up. The period begins at 2 weeks, peaks at 6-8 weeks and ends around 3-4 months. Babies are just extra unreasonable during this time. We’ve had some rough nights so far but also some pretty good ones where she will sleep for 6 hours, waking right before 5 am. She’ll then go back to sleep after eating and we’ll all officially start the day around 9. It’s been hard to get her to nap in the day. She’ll remain active until the next feeding and will begin to fuss around 2 or 3 in the afternoon, protesting until a nap comes around 5.

We would love to see more of this! Not just when she is farting

Special guest visit!

First bottle feed! We’ve had a lot of help and support from the Grandparents! Thank you!

Most of her umbilical cord fell off today, so we are close to her first real bath! We’re looking forward to it.
